ADOM and CURE Joint Ultrasound Study
ADOM Academy in Danbury, in collaboration with the Center for Ultrasound Research and Education (CURE), is conducting a comprehensive study to explore the physiological effects of ketamine therapy using non-invasive ultrasound technology. This research seeks to assess liver health, vascular function, and cerebral blood flow in participants undergoing ketamine treatment, providing valuable insights into how ketamine influences these systems, particularly in individuals with compromised health due to alcohol use disorder (AUD).
We are also seeking healthy individuals to participate as baseline controls for ultrasound measurements. While these ultrasounds are non-diagnostic, any concerning findings will be accompanied by a written preliminary report for you to share with your healthcare provider. In the event of an urgent or emergency finding, we will guide you to the nearest emergency room or assist in arranging emergency medical services.
This joint study offers both ADOM and CURE participants the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research on ketamine’s systemic effects. Whether you are interested in joining the ketamine treatment group or participating as a baseline control, your involvement will provide essential data to advance our understanding of this innovative therapy.
